People often try to become happier by continually adding things to their lives. Each new possession, achievement, or desire is expected to fill some inner absence, as though what is missing within us can be completed by something outside us. Yet there are always more things to acquire, more goals to reach, and more desires to satisfy. For this reason, the process of adding never truly comes to an end.

Perhaps what we overlook is that fulfilment does not always come from adding more, but from letting go of what is unnecessary. It may begin with freeing ourselves from the things our minds have learned to regard as needs, even though we never truly needed them. To strip away the excess, to become lighter, and finally to recognise the abundance within simplicity. To break free from the chains of endless wanting and reclaim a sense of freedom.
